The British Columbia Federation of Labour (BC Fed) represents 470,000 members of affiliated unions in more than 1,100 locals, working in every aspect of the BC economy. The organization has a long and proud history of fighting for the rights of all working people. Its goals are best exemplified by their slogan: "What we desire for ourselves, we wish for all." The BC Federation of Labour's primary goal is to speak on behalf of, and provide resources to its affiliated unions. In doing so, it puts forward the interests of union members to government, employers, and the general public. The Federation is a member of the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) and works with the CLC to further the interests of working people across the country. |
