BC Library Association

The BC Library Association (BCLA) is a nonprofit, independent, voluntary association. Our more than 800 members include librarians, library personnel, library trustees, and other interested individuals; corporate, government, school, and academic libraries; publishers and library supply companies. The Association encourages library organization and development throughout BC, coordinates library services in various parts of the province, creates friendly and helpful cooperation between libraries, maintains contact with similar organizations throughout Canada and elsewhere, and aims to advance — through education, research, friendly association, and cooperative effort — the mutual interest of all libraries and library personnel.
