Freedom of Information and Privacy Association

The BC Freedom of Information and Privacy Association (FIPA) is a non-profit society dedicated to advancing freedom of information and privacy rights in Canada. FIPA's main objectives are twofold: first, to defend and improve public access to information in a world where quality of information and speed of access equals power; and, second, to defend personal privacy in a world where our personal information travels at the speed of light and its use is increasingly beyond our control, a world where a wide range of new technologies present grave threats to privacy.
