Boys R Us offers support and information to male and transgendered street youth sex trade workers in Vancouver. The weekly Boys R Us Sessions are held Tues, Wed. and Thursday's in the downtown south area in the evenings (Three Bridges Clinic).

Each session works on building community, identifying resources and promoting social interaction. Nutritious meals are served. 20-45 youth attend each night.

BCPWA's peer-facilitated HIV support group is the longest-running group of its kind in Canada. The group meets every Wednesday evening in the BCPWA Society Lounge. Its drop-in format easily accommodates people from out of town. The Wednesday evening group welcomes people living with HIV disease, people who are co-infected with Hepatitis C, as well as family, friends, medical or social supports of group members. The group focuses on mutual support, empowerment, and information exchange.

Average Joes is a casual social setting where Gay HIV+ guys play pool, enjoy pizza and win prizes, courtesy of BCPWA Society and Numbers.

Average Joes organizes a Christmas party and a summer event. We are always open to ideas and more participants. Out-of-towners are always welcome!

Average Joes started as a way for HIV+ gay guys to socialize where their HIV status is NOT an issue.
